As Fickle as love

I met the road, I asked
“Will you always take a turn
As soon as I will begin to run?”
The road merrily answered,
‘Yes, but I won’t be as fickle as love…’

Onward the road, I saw a tree shedding leaves,
I asked ‘Will you again get filled with green
And empty yourself, being too mean?
The tree gaily answered,
‘I might, but I won’t be as fickle as love…’

The scorching sun awarded me a shadow to which,
I asked ‘Will you change sides from left to right,
As the day progresses into a gloomy night?’
The shadow replied,
‘Certainly, but I won’t be as fickle as love…’

After a mile, I saw her, the eyes filled with love,
To love I asked ‘Will I see you in her eyes
The next time I meet?’
Love laughingly said,
‘I can’t answer, I am not as fickle as her heart…’
